Global Report on Internal Displacement 2024 available 14 May

On Tuesday 14 May, Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) will publish its annual Global Report on Internal Displacement - the world’s leading source of data and analysis on internal displacement.

Every day, people flee conflict and disasters and become displaced inside their own countries. At the end of 2022, there were 71.1 million people living in internal displacement worldwide.

The new report will update this number and include the most up-to-date, validated figures on global and regional internal displacement in 2023. The report will also provide historical trends and analysis as well as spotlights on Palestine, Sudan, Ukraine, Canada, Libya and other countries and territories which saw mass displacements due to conflict, disaster or both.
