An estimated 80 million people have been displaced by dam projects worldwide. With this case study series, IDMC aims to gradually draw a global picture of displacement associated with dam projects, with a focus on the most vulnerable people.

IDMC shows through nine cases in India that IDPs suffer detrimental impacts and rarely recover.
