IDMC's Global Report on Internal Displacement (GRID) is the world’s most trusted source of data and analysis on the risk, scale and impacts of internal displacement. The 2023 report is its eighth edition and includes a special focus on the complex relationships between disasters, conflict and violence, food security and internal displacement.
Part 1: The global picture
This section presents global internal displacement data collected by IDMC throughout 2022, within the various political, economic and social contexts of different countries and regions. It breaks down the analysis in regional overviews and contains in-depth case studies at the national level in the form of country spotlights.
Part 2: Food security and displacement
This section presents data and analysis on the complex relationships between disasters, conflict, food insecurity and internal displacement. It discusses the main data gaps and provides recommendations and examples of good practice on how the food security sector can contribute to durable solutions to internal displacement.
